JEFF MARCOVIS

Originally hailing from Des Moines, IA, Jeff was drawn to music and sound from a young age. He’d construct instruments from whatever he could find, whether it was tennis rackets for guitars, or pots and pans as drums. Jeff moved to Minneapolis for college, and since then he’s been very active in the music scene, both on stage and in the crowd. He reckons he toured 75% of the US with different bands as a multi-instrumentalist.

It was in high school when his band was recording their first album, that Jeff realized he had a true passion for audio engineering. He has since engineered, produced, played on, or mixed more than 200 albums, working with regional and national artists at his own studio in Minneapolis, as well as traveling to work at recording studios around the U.S.

A “Jeff” of all trades when it comes to audio engineering, he spent sixteen years  before joining SisterBoss working all over the industry; from location recording, post-audio work for major television and sports productions, building and repairing audio electronics, to almost anything else you could imagine. He is a problem solver by nature, and excels in navigating the pathway to create the best final product possible, through creativity and open-mindedness. Think of Jeff as a chameleon, using his multifaceted experience and natural talents to fulfill the client’s vision.
